  • The 22nd Annual International Males of Color
    Empowerment and Retention Education Conference
    Theme:

    “Securing Success: Utilizing AI for Academic Achievement among Males of Color”

  • JV Educational Consultants Conference Executive Directors are accepting workshop proposals for the Annual International Males of Color Empowerment and Retention Education Conference, which will convene October 11-12, 2024 at the University of Minnesota—Twin Cities. Please check all that apply:

  • SELECTION CRITERIA

    Proposals will be evaluated on their relevance to the strands, applicability, clarity, content, creativity, quality, and the overall connection to the social issues affecting African American male students, as well as, to the conference theme.

  • SUBMISSION/PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

    ➢ Proposals must address one of the endorsed strands.
    ➢ Proposals must include two Learning Outcomes.
    ➢ Presentations must be limited to one (1) hour.
    ➢ Identify which conference session you are requesting to present.
    ➢ Presentations must be submitted electronically.
    ➢ Proposal must be received by e-mail on or before September 3, 2024.
    All presenters should be prepared to present to an audience of 30-40 participants. It is important to provide sufficient handouts for your sessions. Please be aware that a written notification of your proposal acceptance will be e-mailed to the lead presenter on or before September 7, 2024

  • CONFERENCE REGULATIONS

    Be advised that [all] presenters are [required] to register for the conference, as well as, pay the registration fees, travel expense, housing and any additional cost associated with their workshops. JV Educational Consultants Conference Directors will provide a limited number of computer stations, and screens during the conference. Presenters are required to bring a laptop computer.

  • Provide a brief summary of your presentation—which will be printed in the program.
